Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Chhattisgarh Judiciary Exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Must have completed graduation in Law from a recognized college or university.
- Age Limit: Minimum age is 21 years, and the maximum age is 35 years.
Age Relaxation is provided for certain categories:
- SC/ST/OBC candidates of Chhattisgarh: 5 years
- Women (SC/ST/OBC/Unreserved): 10 years
- Temporary/Permanent Workers of Chhattisgarh: 3 years
Syllabus for Preliminary and Mains Examinations
The Chhattisgarh Judiciary Exam is divided into two main stages: the Preliminary Examination and the Mains Examination. Candidates will undergo an online preliminary screening test to qualify for the mains examination. There is no negative marking in the preliminary exam.
For the Mains Examination, candidates who perform well in the Preliminary Examination will be selected in a 1:10 ratio based on the number of vacancies.

- Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881

Mains Examination Syllabus
The Mains examination consists of the following components:
- Writing of Judgement and Framing of Issues in Civil Cases: 40 Marks
- Writing of Judgement and Framing of Charges in Criminal Cases: 40 Marks
- Translation: English to Hindi: 10 Marks
- Translation: Hindi to English: 10 Marks
Viva-Voce
The final stage of the examination is the Viva-Voce (Interview). Candidates who perform well in the Mains Examination will be called for the Viva-Voce based on the number of vacancies.
- Maximum Marks for Viva-Voce: 15 Marks
- To qualify, candidates from the unreserved category must secure a minimum of 33% marks, while those from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes must secure at least 25% marks.
